THE BEAR MINISTRY

The church pews have Bears and Bear Wanna-Be's sitting in them. People of the church brought these stuffed Bears and Bear Wanna-Be's (those are cats, dogs, rabbits, etc.) to the Bear Ranger, who ties tags on the toy animals, and places them around the Sanctuary. The tag says the Bear has been among the congregation of First United Methodist Church of Onalaska, Onalaska , TX . It has heard the Word read, prayers prayed, songs of praise sung and the sermon preached. It has been given love and loved others. Now it comes to you with the blessings of worship and God's love. People take and send Bears and Bear Wanna-be's to family, friends and strangers who need to know the Church is praying for them and that God loves them.

UNITED METHODIST MEN

The United Methodist Men of the First United Methodist Church of Onalaska, TX excitedly look forward to new programs and mission interaction with the community of Onalaska to present a Christ centered outreach. This group is open to Christian men who get together on the second Friday of each month at 7:30 A.M. for a wonderful breakfast and fellowship with each other and the Lord. We welcome all men from the community to join us at our monthly breakfasts and to find a place where your talents can be utilized for service to the Lord in aiding those in need. We would love to see you there at the breakfasts which are served at the Fellowship Hall of the Church, located at the end of Hwy 356 just South of Hwy 190. Come meet with us and see what this is all about.
