Study of the Book of Hebrews

 

Once we come to Christ, there is no turning back; we must depend on God's grace to help us mature in Christ even when this leads to adversity, since knowing Him is better than anything the world can offer.

Hebrews uses a wide variety of Old Testament passages to present a clear case for Christ's superiority over everything that preceded Him. This book adds immeasurably to our understanding of Jesus' person and work, and it applies this understanding to the believer's spiritual growth. Hebrews 11 is one of the most extraordinary chapters in Scripture, providing us with the clearest exposition of the meaning and rewards of faith in the Bible.

This book study promises everyone who wants to understand the message of Hebrews for the church today will benefit from this excellent resource.

The Sunshine Class

How did the class get it's name?

The Adult Ladies Bible study class met in the Sanctuary as did the other classes until 1990 when the church purchased the Smith property south of the church. The house became The Smith Educational Building. Classes "drew straws" for the location of their classrooms. The ladies were delighted to begin meeting in what was the sunroom. Aptly named, the room was and remains filled with sunshine. God's light seems to fill the room even on cloudy days. Upon entering the room His presence puts a "sunny " smile on each face.

Come visit, stay while and share in the sunshine of His love. Visitors welcome.

 

Children's Class

Teachers are Christian centered, with many years of public teaching of children, here in our country and also in Arabia. They express their uniqueness as fun people, love kids and love the the Lord.

 

Good News Class

Teacher is Dean Blau. This is mostly a mixed class of men and ladies. Dean also serves as Superintendant of Education. He makes the study of the bible a fun time, and most seem to enjoy this time together.

 

 

Nursery 

 

We also have a nursery available when needed. However Pastor Paul enjoys having the children at the Sunday services. 

We invite anyone that has suggestions on a new class for their input.
